The Family of the Most Holy Eucharist proudly celebrates the rich musical traditions in our five parishes. Each Sunday Mass features a wide range of sacred musical styles that not only enhance the beauty of the liturgy but also invite the faithful into a deeper encounter with the divine. As the Second Vatican Council reminded us in Sacrosanctum Concilium, sacred music is "a true servant of the liturgy" — an expression meant to elevate our hearts and minds to the mysteries of our faith. Whether you are a seasoned musician or exploring sacred music for the first time, there is a welcoming place for you in our music ministry, which is led by Dr. David Castillo, Director of Liturgical Music; Mr. Trent Sims, Assistant Director of Liturgical Music; and Matt Moorman, Director of Contemporary Ensembles.

Festival Choir and Instrumental Ensemble This ensemble participates in performances twice a year and is open to all volunteers passionate about large-scale musical works, often collaborating with an instrumental group. Recently, this ensemble was showcased at St. Martin of Tours in a performance of Faure’s Requiem, and contributes during the Easter Vigil at St. Martin, and confirmation celebrations at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. Led by David Castillo and accompanied by Trent Sims, the ensemble typically holds 5–7 rehearsals before each liturgical event. For more information, please contact David Castillo at [email protected]
Traditional Choir This volunteer ensemble welcomes singers of all abilities. Focusing on a cappella and organ-accompanied choral music—from chant and Renaissance motets to contemporary works—the choir is conducted by David Castillo. Rehearsals are held each Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30, with regular involvement during the 11:00 am Mass at St. Catharine of Siena. For more details, please reach out to David Castillo at [email protected]
Eucharistic Schola Cantorum This is our only auditioned group—a professional chorus that plays an integral role during our First Friday Mass, Vespers Service, and other special events. Rehearsing regularly throughout the year, the Schola Cantorum, directed by David Castillo and accompanied by Trent Sims, offers a diverse repertoire that spans early choral works to contemporary compositions. For inquiries, please contact David Castillo at [email protected]
Our Lady of Lourdes Contemporary Ensemble Everyone is welcome to join this dynamic ensemble, directed by Matt Moorman. Rehearsals take place every other Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 during the program year, with the ensemble leading at the 8:00 am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes on Sundays. Both singers and instrumentalists of all levels are encouraged to participate. For more information, please contact Matt Moorman at [email protected]
St. Antoninus Contemporary Ensembles St. Antoninus features two contemporary ensembles that rotate in their liturgical participation. Rehearsals are held on Sundays at 9:15, with the groups contributing to the 10:00 am Mass. These ensembles welcome singers and instrumentalists at all skill levels, providing a creative outlet for modern liturgical expression. For more details, please contact Matt Moorman at [email protected]
Handbell Choir The Handbell Choir is a non-auditioned group that brings a variety of musical styles to life through handbell ringing. Rotating among our five parishes, the choir enhances hymn accompaniments and provides preludes during Mass. Conducted by Trent Sims, rehearsals are held every other Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30, with the choir playing during high holidays and select Masses. For more information, please contact Trent Sims at [email protected]
Children’s Music Ministries Through our Beacons of Light initiative, we are actively planning initiatives to involve our young members in the life of our church. From leading open houses and Christmas concerts to taking part in Mass, our four dedicated music teachers are creating opportunities for children to develop their musical talents. More information about upcoming programs will be shared soon. For further details, please contact David Castillo at [email protected]
